The management of Zech Bau Holding, the company controlling the construction division of the Bremen-based Zech Group, has been realigned. After 25 years in management positions within the German building industry, Dr. Rudolf Ender has retired from active working life. Following his move to Zechbau in April 2005, he was successfully involved in the integration of today's Muntebau in Hanover and the Zechbau subsidiaries in Düsseldorf, Bonn, Essen, Cologne and Cottbus, as well as KAMÜ Projektbau in Bremen and the prefabricated-concrete works in Oldenburg and Pulheim. Before his move to Zech Bau Holding he was head of the Karl Munte construction company in Braunschweig for 10 years.

Burkhard Schmidt was appointed to the management of Zech Bau Holding on 1st June 2008. Before this move the graduate engineer spent 28 years in various member companies of Strabag SE, Vienna. During the ten years previous to his appointment he bore responsible as a member of the board of management of the German building construction and civil engineering division of Strabag AG in Cologne and then of the Ed. Züblin AG in Stuttgart. Schmidt is now head of the construction division of Zech Group, together with Jörn Franke, who has occupied this position since 2007.

The new top executives will further support the supra-regional, dynamic growth of Zech Bau Holding. With 22 locations and more than 700 employees, the business already numbers amongst the biggest construction companies in Germany. In addition to its main field of business, turnkey building construction, its spectrum of services embraces road construction and earthwork, delivery and assembly of prefabricated-concrete parts and technical building facilities.
